Who we are
Kampkraft was founded by Alex Mathar and Anders Havelund Krøyer.
The collaboration began six years ago, when Anders, as an entrepreneur, presented a new technology to the Danish Defence, and Alex, who was working in the industry office at the time, handled the enquiry as one of his first cases
This marked the start of a professional collaboration that demonstrated just how important it is to consider operational requirements, technology and industry together right from the outset.
Since then, both have been working, both individually and together, to forge better links between the Armed Forces, businesses and the technology sector.
‘Kampkraft’ builds on this experience.
The organisation works to support the development of Danish solutions that are based on real needs and can be developed through collaboration between the relevant professional communities.

Jimmy Binderup Andersen
Jimmy has a strategic and technically grounded background from the Danish Armed Forces and NATO, where he has worked at the intersection of operational requirements, technology and capability development. He combines in-depth technical insight with strategic advice and a strong understanding of how technology is translated into operational effectiveness.
He also has extensive experience in the defence industry, where, as CEO, he has worked on the development, integration and scaling of defence technology solutions in a complex and regulated market.
Jimmy has played a key role in building the Danish defence innovation ecosystem, including the establishment of the Danish Defence Materials Centre and Defence Tech Denmark.
His profile is characterised by his ability to build bridges between defence, industry and innovation, with a focus on creating a coherent path from need to implementation.
Alex Mathar
Alex has over 20 years’ experience in the Armed Forces, where he has worked on operational missions, strategic analysis, digitalisation, cyber security and MDO development. As a military diplomat, he has been responsible for international cooperation, arms control and dialogue with European and NATO partners.
He has in-depth knowledge of the Danish and European defence industries and solid experience in bridging the gap between operational requirements, technological development and industrial processes.
Alex also serves as a member of the Advisory Board at the National Defence Technology Centre and as an expert and mentor at Defence Tech Denmark and NATO DIANA.
Anders Havelund Krøyer
Anders spent 10 years in the armed forces as a private, sergeant and officer, including a tour of duty in Afghanistan. A career that later led him into the world of political networking and the Danish start-up ecosystem.
Following his time in the Armed Forces, he completed a degree in IT Management at CBS and became a department director at Altinget and Mandag Morgen, where he was responsible for events, networking and Folkemødet.
His experience in bringing together ministers, generals, business leaders and experts makes him a strong
organiser and bridge-builder.
As a co-founder of AR Comply and a board member of TechSavvy Media, Anders has a keen insight into the industry’s needs and the opportunities within the start-up ecosystem in relation to the defence sector.
Nanna Kirstine Holt
Nanna has extensive strategic and international experience at the intersection of European defence policy, engagement with public authorities and industrial processes.
Most recently, she held a key position as a defence industry adviser and attaché at Denmark’s Permanent Representation to the European Union in Brussels, where she advised on and navigated complex European decision-making processes at the highest level.
She has in-depth knowledge of the EU’s emerging defence initiatives, as well as extensive experience from the Ministry of Defence (FMN) and the Ministry of Defence’s Agency for Materiel and Procurement (FMI).
During her career, Nanna has, amongst other things, served as national EDF coordinator and lead technical negotiator on the European Defence Industrial Programme (EDIP). Through these key roles, she has built up a unique operational network amongst European authorities, EU institutions and key players in the European defence industry.
Nanna’s profile is characterised by a unique ability to analyse complex political frameworks within the EU and translate them into concrete and strategic market opportunities for players in the defence industry.
Marc Fraenkel
Marc combines a military background with hands-on management experience from both the IT and defence sectors. With more than 10 years’ service as an officer in the Danish Armed Forces, he has operational experience from numerous deployments and the training of soldiers. In addition, he has over 10 years’ experience in operational management, IT management and business development within the pharmaceutical and defence industries, including roles as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Digital, where he has worked on transformation, quality, operational management and scaling.
Marc translates strategy into action for defence companies — with a focus on operational needs and the end-user application. He is also a board member of Frontline Network and is studying for a Master’s degree in Business Development at CBS.
